McAvoy – Trio for Lute Currently reading: Franz Kafka - The Trial Henry James - The Ambassadors (definitely not something to read when you're deathly ill on a 9 and a half hour plane journey...zero concentration, weepiness will ensue plus a runny nose and coughing fit...I was feeling so sorry for myself^_^) Phillipe Aries – Centuries of Childhood Marcel Proust – In Search of Lost Time [planning to read the whole thing but I’ve just started book 1 – Swann’s Way] And all of those are truly wonderful books. I can’t wait to get back to Proust, but I’ve got quite a lot on at the moment and studying is taking precedence. *le sigh* And a bunch of teaching secondary school books for the coming year... Next Edmund White book: I'm currently reading Caracole (White), Nights in Aruba (Holleran) and The Folding Star (Hollinghurst)^_^ Planning to read: Goethe – Faust (just part one for the moment) Henry James – Wings of the Dove Excerpts from Arabian Nights [but a friend wanted to borrow it first] More Dumas maybe? I’m tempted to read the Musketeer’s books but I’m not sure I’ll love them as much as I loved Monte Cristo...we’ll just have to see. Fyodor Dostoevsky – Devils, The Idiot Andrew Holleran – Dancer from the Dance Tennesse Williams – I’ll just make a start somewhere.
